We’ve all heard “you are what you eat.” When we eat healthy food, we become healthy. According to nutrition experts, the secret to super immunity is super nutrition. A healthy body is highly resistant to viral attack, and is one way to prevent diseases such as diabetes, heart disease. This resource list provides links to authoritative sources on the subject of nutrition as well as recent books available in the Dearborn Heights Library system.

    People who follow vegetarian diets can get all the nutrients they need. However, they must be careful to eat a wide variety of foods to meet their nutritional needs. This is an excellent source of basic information with links to other useful websites.

    This website covers every imaginable topic relating to vegetarianism. Includes nutrition information educating the public on vegetarianism and the interrelated issues of health, nutrition, and ecology. The Vegetarian Resource Group maintains an online Guide to Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurants in the USA and Canada.  You will also find many brochures and handouts are produced by registered dietitians and physicians with the intent to educate the public on vegetarianism and to bring about healthy changes. And yes, recipes are also included.
