People used to have to cross whole oceans in leaky wooden boats that averaged about 10 miles per hour on a good day to find new foods and explore unique tastes and cultures...but you just have to visit your local library!

Kathryn Eliza has come back from Tanzania (a very cool place filled with other very cool places) and she's brought back a boatload of information to share with us in a spice-themed cooking workshop.  She'll even have samples!

Call us and register your seat today!

Jeremy Dimick of the Detroit Historical Society wants to tell you about beer.  At the library.

Sound like a good time?

It sure does to us!  Swing on by to get an in-depth look at the fascinating history of one of Detroit's most famous home-grown brewers:  the Stroh Brewery Company.

(If you like local history, do find some time to click on that link to the Detroit Historical Society's website.  They've got a searchable Online Collection a person could get absolutely lost in.)
