Caroline Kennedy Library

Caroline Kennedy Library is dedicated to fostering a healthy sense of community. Our meeting rooms are one important facet towards meeting this goal. Included here is information on how you can reserve a room and what is expected of patrons who use our facilities.

Reservation and Availability

Rooms are reserved on a first come, first served basis at the Circulation Desk. The rooms are available during regular service hours: Monday - Thursday: 10:00a - 9:00p. Friday: 10:00a - 5:00p. Saturday: 12:00p - 5:00p. Reservations must be made by an officer of the organization and they may be asked to show proof of residency or non-profit status. 

Fees

City residents using the room for a civic purpose (e.g. Home Owners Association, Union, Sorority): Free
City businesses needing a meeting room: $35/hour
All other groups: $50/hour

All fees are due one week before the meeting date and time. Unless a catastrophe prohibits use of the room, the fee will not be refunded.

Available Rooms

There are four larger rooms available for reservation.

Full Program Room: Can seat 80 or be split into two rooms of 50 and 30. Food and drink are allowed.

Group Study Rooms (2): Can seat 6. Lidded drinks allowed, but no food. No excessive noise.

Youth Program Room: Can seat 24 people. Food and drink are allowed.

If you're looking for a smaller space:
We have two study rooms which seat 1 - 3 people. No food. Covered beverages only. No excessive noise.


Meeting Room Conditions and Rules

The following rules and regulations apply when using a meeting room. Abuse of these rules could jeopardize a reservation and/or lead to disciplinary action against the group.

  • No smoking.

  • No alcohol.

  • Meeting rooms should be cleaned after use.

  • Do not vandalize the room or any other part of the library. The person reserving the room will be held responsible for damages.

  • Groups should be courteous to other library patrons and library staff.

  • The library is not responsible for theft or loss of items left on the premises.

  • All parties using the room are expected to abide by local, state, and federal laws.

  • If it is a large gathering, please allow time to set up and take down a room.
