This website offers easy-to-read news stories that can help you learn to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Seven new stories are posted each Wednesday, along with audio, exercises, vocabulary, a crossword puzzle, a word search, and a poll. Listen to each story in full or sentence-by-sentence.

Mango Languages

Language is an Adventure. Learn real-life conversations with native-speaker audio and cultural context so that you can speak like a local.

LOTE4Kids

LOTE4Kids is an online database of digital books or eBooks that allows kids to enjoy the magic of books. Each book also comes with an English translation to help kids learn languages. LOTE4Kids has over 1350+ digital picture books in 45+ languages, with new books and languages released each month. There are also no holds or waitlists. A valid library card is required.  The LOTE4Kids App is also available to  Dearborn Heights residents.

SCOLA

SCOLA is a language learning resource that includes videos, television and magazines.  Learning about foreign people and the richness of their culture is the requisite firs step to learning a foreign language with all its nuances.  SCOLA is where language and culture meet in multimedia to create a holistic approach to language learning.
